Our Story

The journey of Five Chutneys began in 1995, when Jagat Vyas first visited Tanzania. He immediately fell in love with the country’s beauty and welcoming people but struggled to find good vegetarian food. This challenge inspired him to start a restaurant that serves authentic Indian vegetarian cuisine, ensuring that locals and travelers alike have access to flavorful, high-quality meals.
